Our historic homestead holds a special place in our hearts. Over 100 years old, it is the original family home and has been lovingly restored. Generations of Skerrett’s have been born and raised within it’s walls and Tim’s father Brian lived there for all of life and always maintained that he never wanted to live anywhere else. Located right across the road from the Mulla Mulla Creek, you are able to fall asleep at night to the sound of the water bubbling along and to enjoy a cup of tea on the verandah while watching the sunrise over the hills is a real treat!
Take your time exploring the history of the house and the history of the property from the assorted artworks and nostalgia scattered throughout the Homestead
Features include:
-4 bedrooms (one queen bed room, one double bed room, one single bed room with a trundle bed and one large room with a double bed and a single bed with a trundle bed).
-2.5 bathrooms (one with shower, bath and toilet, another with a shower and toilet and a separate toilet)
-open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area featuring stunning pressed tin ceiling and 10-seater dining table
-wood fireplace in the loungeroom with wood supplied and heaters in all the bedrooms
-French doors leading out onto the verandah
-large front verandah perfect for catching up with friends/family, enjoying a cuppa and or curled up in one of the comfy chairs reading a book
-outdoor fire pit for creating your own campfire at night
-badminton court if you’re feeling active
-lovely outdoor dining table under the shade of the grapevine covered arbour.
-office with desk set-up if you wanted to take the time to start writing that book
-wi-fi
-while there is no mainstream tv channels available, there is a DVD player with a small collection of DVDs
-a small collection of books and board games
-ceiling fans in the main bedroom and kitchen/dining area with additional portable fans
-air conditioning in the main kitchen/dining/lounge area
-laundry with washing machine, clothes horse and outside clothes line
-fully self-contained kitchen with fridge, microwave, oven and utensils, plates, cooking appliances provided
-all pillows and linen (including towels) supplied including doonas for when it is cold.
-access to the outdoor magnesium swimming pool over the hill provided you have a 4WD or AWD to make it up the driveway
-semi-fenced in garden area with undercover parking
-coffee and tea making facilities
